All Puffed Up - Photo of the Day - October 13th, 2011
"All Puffed Up"
A black-capped chickadee puffs up it's feathers to insulate itself against the cold while clinging to a bare branch in late winter, isolated against the clear, blue sky.
Captured in Indian Battle Park, in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada on Februaury 22nd, 2010.
