Apparently I got the attention of the whole herd of elk just outside of Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, Canada when I climbed up over a ridge to get a better view. Unfortunately I caused a stampede to the benefit of other photographers in the park. I didn’t realize I was THAT scary :)

A closeup of a window in Old Fort Edmonton, a reconstruction of the 1846 Hudson’s Bay Fort, located in Fort Edmonton Park along the Edmonton river valley.
Fort Edmonton was the most important Hudson’s Bay Company post west of the Red River Settlement at Fort Garry (near modern Winnipeg). The Fort not only traded furs, but produced goods and supplied other smaller posts.
